Dear teachers,It’s my great honor and pleasure to be here to share with you about7A Starter Module2Unit2What’s your number?The type of this lesson is revision. I have been ready to begin this presentation with these three parts,the analysis of new curriculum standard,evaluation tasks and standards and teaching procedures.

Part 1: The teaching aims and the basis for aim setting
1.The analysis of the curriculum standard:

According to the new curriculum standard, the students in Grade Seven should get to the third level,in the curriculum standard, in listening, students are able to hear and understand the successive instructions and questions and respond to them appropriately.As well, they can hear and understand the dialogues about the relative and familiar topics. In speaking, students can communicate in English during the class, do the role-play under the guidance of the teachers, give personal information about their conditions and experiences and use the correct pronunciation and intonation in the above-mentioned oral activities.

In my lesson, in terms of the new curriculum standard, students should hear and understand the dialogue about talking about the class, telephone number and so on, and communicate with others on familiar topics with the correct pronunciation and intonation.Meanwhile, they go over the contents they have learned through different strategies so that they know the usage of numbers in other areas.

2.The analysis of the teaching materials:

The topic of this unit is about numbers. As we all know, numbers is everywhere in our daily life. If we want to know others better,we need to know about the personal information,such as telephone number, class.So this unit is going to tell us how to ask and answer about the personal information.By doing it, students are motivated to know others better.Besides,this unit also shows us the process of asking and answering about the the telephone and class naturally through different activities. In the process of talking, students can review the related words and sentences.Meanwhile, students may take an interest in numbers during learning, so that they explore the more usage of the numbers in other actual situation. What’s more,teachers can use the opportunity to encourage the students to think and try creatively.

3. The analysis of the students:

Students hit the numbers on over the elementary. Most of them can say the numbers from one to ten and they also know how to express the quantity, so they are interested in the numbers. However, students may lack of the usage of numbers and may not respond to others quickly and correctly when hearing numbers, for example, when students ask and answer the telephone numbers,student number…

4. The teaching aims:

After finishing this period,students are able to:

Firstly,remember the words of numbers and use them in different situation, such as telephone umber,class, flight number, student number…

Secondly,use the sentences to ask and express the telephone numbers in actual situation.

Finally, know others better through talking with them about their personal information so as to improve their emotion.

Part2:Evaluation tasks and standards.

1. Get to know the information about other’s class, find the corresponding sentences and write them on the paper correctly.

2. Say the words about numbers with the help of symbols. Read them fluently and write them on the paper correctly.

3.Know the sentences about asking and expressing the telephone numbers and then act the dialogue in roles.

4.Combine the knowledge they have learned this period and before to present a performance task: use the dialogue model or create one by themselves to make a new friend at the new student’s meet-and-greet.

Part 3 :Teaching procedures

I combined the the knowledge the students have learned before and during this class to help them understand how to get other’s personal information about name, class and telephone number clearly in mind. So I create an actual situation, at the new student’s meet-and-greet, you may want to make friends, so how to make a friend, what should you know. The whole teaching produce includes these steps, Warming-up, Listening(小听力),Listening(大听力),Listen and write, Working in pairs to finish the performance task “Making a new friend”,Homework and Blackboard design.

Step 1: Warming-up

1.Enjoy the song ‘One two three four five’ and sing it together.

2.Have daily talk with teacher about knowing others.

It is aimed to make the class atmosphere easy and motivate the students to take an interest in what they will learn.

Talking with students what aspects should b known when knowing others make students get a general idea of what they are going to learn.By this process,tell students their final performance task to make a new friend.

Step2: Listening(小听力).

1. Listen and answer the questions.

In brief, there are some shining points of this lesson. Students learn it not only focus on the contents,but also think deeply and creatively.

Besides,students learn the new words and sentences by using them so that they will understand them better.
